Work on the new school accommodation for Gaelscoil Éadan Doire has begun.
The school community are looking forward to the move.
“We are delighted that the work has begun and that the new school will be ready in time for September 1, 2014,” a spokesperson for the school said.
Gaelscoil Éadan Doire first opened its doors in September 2008 with 21 students.
Over the past five and a half years the school community has worked hard and now there are 109 children enrolled in the school.
Gaelscoil Éadan Doire will hold an open night on Thursday, January 16 from 6pm until 8pm. Parents will have the opportunity to talk to teachers and to view plans for the new school building.
