Congratulations to Gaelscoil an Bhradáin Feasa in Co. Meath who were awarded a Yellow Flag recently.
The initiative, which is aimed at primary and secondary school pupils, promotes interculturalism.
“We are very proud that we have achieved a yellow flag which shows that we are a welcoming open school. It doesn’t matter what your religious beliefs are or where you are from, you will be very welcome in our school,” said Hannah Ní Ghréacháin, a teacher at the school.
“We had to complete eight steps to get the flag which took us a full school year. Among the things we did when had a intercultural day, a mother tongues day and we visited Meath Traveller Workshops. We came together twice a month to make and discuss our plans.”
