Irish Committees and groups from various regions across the country gathered together on the 29th of March in Clontarf Castle Hotel in Dublin, to celebrate their achievements in the preservation and promotion of the Irish language.
Muintir Chrónáin won the An Foras Pátrúnachta prize worth €1,000. Pól Mag Lionáin, a member of An Foras Pátrúnachta’s board of directors , was there to award the prize.
Donnchadh Mac Fhionnlaoich, Minister of State, congratulated each group.
More than €120,000 worth of prizes was awarded to the Community Committees, school and college committees and also Scottish, Canadian and American committees.
